Building a Cohesive Leadership Team with the Five Behaviors®
Who This Program Is For
Lead Together is designed for senior leadership teams and intact teams responsible for guiding organizational strategy and performance.
Leadership teams often consist of highly capable individuals, yet many struggle with alignment, open dialogue, and shared accountability.
Lead Together helps leadership teams strengthen how they function together so they can lead the organization more effectively.
What Leadership Teams Experience
Lead Together is typically delivered as a two-and-a-half day offsite experience designed to allow leadership teams to focus deeply on how they work together.
Before the program, each member of the leadership team completes a Five Behaviors® Team assessment.
This assessment evaluates how the team is performing across the five behaviors and gathers anonymous feedback from every team member.
Because responses are anonymous, team members can provide honest insights about how the team is functioning.
The assessment report provides a clear picture of the team’s strengths and improvement opportunities in areas such as:
Trust Each Other
When team members are genuinely transparent and honest with one another, they are able to build vulnerability-based trust.
Engage in Conflict Around Ideas
When there is trust, team members are able to engage in unfiltered, constructive debate of ideas.
Commit to Decisions
When team members are able to offer opinions and debate ideas, they will be more likely to commit to decisions.
Hold Each Other Accountable
When everyone is committed to a clear plan of action, they will be more willing to hold one another accountable.
Focus on Achieving Collective Results
The ultimate goal of building greater trust, conflict, commitment, and accountability is one thing: the achievement of results.
The assessment also integrates the Everything DiSC® framework, helping the team understand how leader’s different communication and work styles influence collaboration.

Applying the Results
During the offsite experience, the leadership team reviews the assessment results together and discusses what the feedback reveals about how the team currently operates.
The leadership team works together to:
- Identify areas where the team needs to improve
- Establish agreements for how the team will work together
- Define behaviors that support stronger accountability
- Develop practical steps to strengthen team cohesion
Rather than a general leadership workshop, the program focuses specifically on how this leadership team will operate together.
Sustaining Team Cohesion
To ensure continued progress, the leadership team completes a
team progress report every six to twelve months.
These follow-up progress reports help the team measure improvement and stay on track, strengthening the behaviors and making adjustments that support team effectiveness.

Greater trust and openness
