Our Process for The Heart of Leadership Coaching® Program:

Complete an application and interview to enroll

This allows your Certified Leadership Coach to learn about your strengths, challenges, and goals for your certification.

After completing your application and showing up for your interview with a Certified Leadership Coach, you can officially register for the 6-month program.

Attend and participate

This is an immersive experience where we teach you the coaching process, tools, and requirements for certification while also providing opportunities to apply what you’re learning.

This is a six month program with two days of live, in-person training so that you soak in all the knowledge while you practice coaching and being coached.

During our two days together we will explore the following topics:

  • Current research and key strategies for effective leadership coaching
  • Core coaching concepts
  • Impact Coaching Model™ to provide a process and structure for effective leadership coaching
  • WOW Coaching Chat® for informal coaching conversations
  • A hands-on coaching experience designed to maximize learning
  • Understanding the differences in the roles of Coach, Manager, and Mentor
  • Learn the non-negotiables to be an effective Coach
  • Awareness of strengths and areas of growth for you as a Coach
  • A system for adapting your style to meet the style of your Coachees

Complete the coaching hours

We want you to feel confident in the skills, tools, and knowledge that you learn as well as your ability to coach others using The Heart of Leadership Coaching® process.

You’ll complete 30 coaching hours with at least 3 different people you are coaching before your exam. If you can’t find someone to coach right away, people in the class can coach each other.

Participate in 3 coaching sessions

This part of the program is done alongside your 30 coaching hours to provide additional support and opportunities for you to ask questions.

You will have two individual coaching sessions and one group coaching session with a Certified Leadership Coach.

Complete the exam

At this point, you’re going to feel elated and ready to take on the world!

You’ll complete The Heart of Leadership Coaching® Exam and receive your certificate.
